Director ID’s

The deadline of 30 November 2022 for existing directors to apply for their director ID has now passed. However, there is now an extension to 𝟏𝟒 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 in place.

In a statement by Commissioner of taxation and registrar Chris Jordan said “The ABRS will not apply compliance resources to determine whether individuals met their director ID obligations by 30 November 2022 if they apply for a director ID by 𝟏𝟒 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐.”

ASIC have listed offences relating to failure to have a Director ID or apply for one when required to do so. They list maximum fines of $13,200 (criminal) and $1,100,000 (civil) for individuals. #director #directors #proyou
